Rush HR Technology Inc. operates MyLuggageGenie, available at myluggagegenie.com and through associated mobile applications (the “Platform”). We provide luggage storage, pickup, and delivery services throughout Metro Vancouver, British Columbia.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our Platform or services. By accessing or using MyLuggageGenie, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly

Your full name, email address, phone number, pickup and delivery addresses, payment details, luggage number, type and description, special instructions, communications with our team, and account login credentials if you create an account. Payment information is processed securely through our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.

Information collected automatically

Your IP address and device identifiers, browser type and operating system, pages visited, time spent, navigation patterns, referring URLs, search terms, and cookie or similar-technology data.

Information from third parties

Payment processors, such as Stripe, that verify and process transactions; Google Maps or similar services used for address verification and route planning; and Microsoft Clarity, if you consent to its use, to help us understand Platform usage.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• book, schedule, and fulfil luggage storage, pickup, and delivery services;
• process payments and send booking confirmations and receipts;
• communicate about your booking, updates, or service changes;
• verify identity, prevent fraud, and administer insurance coverage for stored items;
• improve and personalize the Platform and service offerings;
• send promotional communications, offers, and updates, from which you may opt out at any time; and
• comply with legal obligations and respond to disputes, claims, or legal proceedings.

How we share your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it only in the following circumstances:

Service providers

Trusted vendors that help operate the Platform and deliver services, including payment processors, mapping services, cloud hosting providers, and SMS or email communication platforms. They are contractually bound to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.

Insurance and claims

If you file a claim for lost or damaged luggage, we may share relevant booking and item details with our insurance provider to process the claim.

Legal requirements

Where required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or where disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Rush HR Technology Inc., our users, or others.

Business transfers

In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to the same privacy protections described in this Policy.

Retention & cookies

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes in this Policy or as required by law. Booking records are retained for a minimum of seven years for tax, accounting, and insurance purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.

Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies necessary for the Platform to function correctly. With your consent, we also use Microsoft Clarity to help us understand how visitors use the Platform through aggregated insights, heatmaps, and session recordings. You can manage your preference using the “Cookie choices” control in the footer or through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect Platform functionality.

Your privacy rights

Under PIPEDA and PIPA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate or incomplete information; withdraw consent to certain uses where applicable; request deletion subject to legal exceptions; and file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the BC Information and Privacy Commissioner.

Security & children’s privacy

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (SSL/TLS), secure payment processing, restricted internal access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.

MyLuggageGenie is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us immediately and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice by email or prominently on the Platform. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
